CROP NOTES
This final box is heavy on Rutabaga, so check out our Rutabaga Recipes for some inspiring ways to cook them up!

Arugula - This arugula is exceptionally tender and is unwashed. Be sure to wash gently and spin dry. Do not leave it to soak in water.
Spinach - The spinach needs to be washed twice to remove all the soil. We recommend two rinses in a big bowl of water. Spinach Cooking Suggestions: Since this spinach is so tender, it is best washed, drained in acolander, placed in large pot with a top and cooked over the lowest possible heat until just tender. Stir occasionally and add butter or olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Be careful not to overcook!
Watermelon Radish - Try roasting! We found them to have a delicious “meaty” flavor when roasted, either alone or with other vegetables. Also delicious in soups!

NEWS FROM THE FARM
It sure feels like spring is just around the corner… We’ve been enjoying this gorgeous warm weather and we hope you have too! The greenhouse is filling up with flats of seedlings to be planted out in the fields over the next few months and farmers Matt and James hope to get out to the fields to do some early field prep before the end of the week. We hope you’ve enjoyed the winter share this season. Growing greens in the greenhouse worked out well for us, so we’ll be expanding to grow more for next year’s share.

WHAT DID YOU THINK? Please send us your comments and suggestions about the winter share- we’d love to hear from you! E-mail me at info@goldenearthworm.com
